China Furniture and Arts Order Terms, Conditions, and Shipping Policies

Methods of payment:

If you order online or by phone, you can pay for your purchases using credit card, debit card, or PayPal.

Sales Taxes:

Sales taxes will be collected on orders shipped to Illinois. Sales taxes are based on the final item purchase amount and shipping and handling charges.

Order Status & Confirmation:

Emails regarding order status will be procedurally sent to the customer through their registered email address. These emails will include information like order confirmations, estimated shipping dates, estimated arrival dates, and tracking information.


Should you order an item that is currently out of stock, we will immediately notify you of the anticipated shipping date through your registered email; shipping dates sent this way are simply an approximate estimation and in some cases may not match the exact date you were initially given when placing your order. All items are shipped when available in our warehouse.


Your order is reviewed for accuracy and verified with the distributor as soon as it is received. We reserve the right to decline an order in which the ordered products are unavailable. Additionally, we observe the right to decline any order in the event that the website has displayed any inaccuracies or obvious errors related to product listing information such as product descriptions or pricing. In cases where the distributor/freight company informs us of changes in availability, you will be notified as soon as possible. Such information can cause delays in your estimated shipping time. is not responsible for such changes in availability.

Item Accuracy:

While we make a great effort in delivering items that are accurately portrayed by their original reference photos, a few select items may vary slightly. Due to the nature of some materials like jade or hand-made items, some products may not match the photos listed on our website with total and complete accuracy. This does not mean that the quality of these products are lesser in any way. There will simply be a slight difference in color, tone, or shape. If this concerns you, please contact us with the item # you wish to purchase and we will hand-select a copy that meets your expectations and criteria.

International Purchase:

All payments must be made by bank wire transfer. Credit Card payments are not accepted.

Sale Prices:

Sale prices are offered to our customers for a limited time and on specific merchandise. Sale prices are not applicable to prior purchase. Online sale prices cannot be combined/mixed with in-store offers and vice versa.

Use of Promotional Codes:

You may receive a promo code that can be applied to an order placed via the following methods:

  • Website purchases
  • Phone purchases
  • In-store purchases

For website purchases, please enter the promotional code during checkout to ensure that it is applied to your order. For purchases made over the phone or in-store, please share the promo code with your sales associate to ensure that it is applied to your order. Please also observe all terms and conditions associated with each promotion. The terms and conditions can usually be located on the promotional material associated with each promo code. Promotional materials include, but are not limited to, the following: website banners and graphics, print and digital advertisements, emails, postcards, etc.


Online orders can be cancelled within 24 hours. No cancellations on custom or special orders. Custom order deposits are not refundable or transferable.

Return: must approve all returns with a RMA number. Simply contact us to obtain a RMA number. Returns without a RMA number will not be processed.

Returns must be made within 30 days after the order is delivered and is subject to a 15% restocking fee. Return shipping arrangements and costs are the responsibility of the customer. Returns without the RMA number and not in original condition and original packaging will not be processed or will be assessed an additional fee at our discretion. Please note, the items must be returned within 15 business days upon issuance of the RMA number.

We cannot accept returns for custom/special ordered merchandise.


Refunds for returned merchandise will be equal to the cost of the merchandise minus the original shipping charge and a 15% restocking fee. Refunds will be issued if and after the returned merchandise arrives at our warehouse undamaged and in its original condition and packaging.

Deposits for custom/special orders are non-refundable.

Purchases of eGift Cards are non-refundable.

In the event that a return is issued for a puchase made using an eGift card, the refund for that return will be issued back to the eGift card that was used to make that purchase.

Shipping Methods:

Each order is carefully inspected and packaged before it leaves our warehouse to avoid damage during transit. Every shipment is fully insured at no extra cost to you.

Most small packages are shipped via FedEx or USPS. In most cases, a signature is required for the delivery. However, you may contact us to arrange for a signature removal if necessary. Express shipping is available for additional fees. Please contact us for expedited shipping rates to your area.

Large furniture and over-sized packages will be handled by third-party freight companies. Each item is packed, crated and transported on skid(s) and delivered with a signature required on the Proof of Delivery. There are three available services for delivery:

  • FREE Curbside: Packed crate will be delivered to the curbside at the end of your driveway.
  • Threshold: Packed crate will be delivered into your garage. (additional charge required).
  • White Glove Delivery: Includes 2-men uncrating, unpacking, inside placement and debris removal (additional charge required).

*by agreeing to this policy, you acknowledge you have a full understanding of our shipping options and the service you have opted to use for your order. We will not be liable for any misunderstandings regarding the shipping service you have chosen.

You will receive a call from the third party freight company to make delivery arrangements within 3-5 days after your order has arrived into the local destination terminal.

Delivery and pickup by freight companies are made during local normal business hours (excluding holidays). Note: China Furniture and Arts contracts only with reliable freight companies. Despite that, we have limited control and are not liable for arrangements made between customers and the third party freight company. Rescheduling or missing appointments may result in delays and fees for which we will not be responsible.

Please contact us for a rate quote if a special service such as Threshold, White Glove Service, Global Shipping, Express Shipping etc. is needed.

Shipping Time:

We usually ship in-stock items within 3-5 business days after the order/payment is confirmed. Large in-stock items may require additional time to inspect and crate. For regular curbside, threshold, and white-glove delivery, items will be delivered 5-10 business days after it leaves our warehouse (depending on destination and carrier).

Expedited shipping is available for additional fees. Please contact us if your order is time sensitive and we will do our best to accommodate your situation.

Order Refusal:

Should you choose to refuse your order at the point of delivery, or if a delivery attempt is made following a confirmed delivery date and arrangements have not been made for the order to be received, you will be subject to all shipping charges incurred during the delivery process to you and back to our warehouse, and a 15% restocking fee. Custom/Special order items are not refundable.

Damage claim:

Please inspect your order immediately upon arrival. If your item was shipped to you by freight, please inspect the package for visible damage before the carrier leaves.

In the unlikely event you receive a damaged item due to shipping, please mark on the Proof of Delivery (delivery receipt) "damaged during transit" before signing. We may not be able to process a damage claim without the Proof of Delivery marked in this way.

*Unlike White-Glove, curbside/threshold shipments will only allow inspection of the outside crate. If the outside crate is damaged, this does not necessarily mean the items inside are damaged.

If you believe you have received an incorrect item or damaged item, please keep all the original packing materials (including pallets, crates, etc.) and immediately call us at 1-888-786-6888 or email us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Our customer service team will assist you in handling and replacing your damaged item. Note that pictures showing damages must be provided in order for us to better assist you.

All damaged merchandise claims must be filed with our Customer Service department within three days of receipt of your order. We reserve the right to re-ship, repair, or fully refund any piece of merchandise. It will be at our discretion to have a professional furniture medic inspect the damaged merchandise to determine whether the item in question will be repaired or returned. In the case of damage returns, the refund process will begin after the damaged merchandise is received at our warehouse.
