This beautiful Chinese porcelain maiden figurine is handmade by master Lin Wei Dong, in Foshan, Guangdong Province, a historical porcelain heaven of China. This figure depicts a young lady playing the Erhu, a traditional Chinese two-stringed fiddle. The Erhu can be traced back to proto-Mongolic instruments first appeared in China during the Tang dynasty. The word Er in the instrument's name is believed to come from the fact that it has two strings, while the word Hu indicates that it is a member of the Huqin group or musical instruments of the Hu people.

Care
