Description
This symmetrical nephrite jade urn is the same on both sides. It boasts two intricate handles, each as the head of the Chinese phoenix. Two Chinese lions are carved into the body, resembling protection.
Seemingly whole, this hand carved jade sculpture is actually two pieces, as its lid is removable. Due to its artistic appearance, it can be displayed as a sculpture with the added feature of a secret compartment. Handcrafted from natural jade, the color may vary slightly for each one, please allow for slight variances.
Care
Never clean jade with abrasive cleaners or solutions, they likely contain chemicals that can cause harm. Regular cleaning can be done with a dry or damp microfiber cloth. Use a mild soap for especially grimy areas, and also use a soft bristled brush for hard to reach areas. Never fully immerse the jade in water, this is unnecessary. If cleaning with water, make sure to remove any excess moisture left behind. Handling the jade and touching it can actually be beneficial. The oil from skin is good for jade and can help to increase its luster.
Avoid prolonged exposure to the sun as this can alter the color of the jade. Also prevent the jade from forcefully bumping into hard surfaces, this can damage the interior structure.
