This stunning porcelain fishbowl planter is handmade and handpainted with the Japanese Thousand Flower style or Hanazume, where a myriad of flowers of vibrant colors and sizes weave the planter's entire exterior. This beautiful design is of Kutani origin, a style of Japanese porcelain with overglaze painting, from the Kutani province, modern-day Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan. Kutani's unique uses of vivid colors and gold outlining, as well as its laborious pattern, set it apart and make it one of the most well-regarded porcelain ware in the world. The planter's exquisite design continues inward, with orange and blue koi fish gliding among a sea of kelp and water ferns, completing the overall look.
Beautiful fishbowl cachepots such as this were once used in Chinese courts as a way to care for koi fish in harsh winters; these cachepots now serve as exciting ways to give your indoor plants a place to call home. Care
Always remember that porcelain and other types of ceramics are delicate and fragile, so careful maintenance is important. Dust can be removed with a microfiber cloth. Warm water combined with mild soap may also be used to remove smears, finger prints, and other grime. Make sure not to use hot water, as this can cause damage. You may also use a soft bristled brush to clean tiny crevices.

Each order is carefully inspected and packaged before it leaves our warehouse to avoid damage during transit. Every shipment is fully insured at no extra cost to you.
