This beautiful stone sculpture depicts a meditating Buddha in a double lotus position. The Buddha's hands clasped above his lap to perform the Dhyana Mudra, the sacred gesture of concentration and meditation. In this gesture, his hands and fingers form a triangle, a symbol for the Three Jewels. This mudra is used in Buddhism as the way to achieve spiritual progress through meditation.

Care
It is not necessary to clean stone using any detergents and soaps. Surface dirt is not at all harmful for the stone and can contribute to the patina. If this is deemed unsightly, it can be removed using a cloth rag, warm water, and a soft bristled brush for tough to reach areas.
